At CrossFit DTW we believe that increased work capacity is the holy grail of true fitness and health. That is why we selected “Do The Work!” as our motto.
Done right, fitness provides a large margin of protection against the ravages of time and disease. Fitness is essentially “super-wellness”. Sickness, wellness and fitness are all measures of the same entity.
CrossFit is a core strength and conditioning program designed to elicit as broad an adaptational response as possible. CrossFit is not a specialized fitness program but a deliberate attempt to optimize physical competence in each of ten recognized fitness domains.

The CrossFit prescription for real fitness is constantly varied, high-intensity, functional movement. This type of fitness training prepares an individual for random physical challenges–i. e. , unknown and unknowable events–which is at odds with fixed, predictable and routine regimens. In implementation, CrossFit is, quite simply, a sport–the “sport of fitness”.
